7-7:30  PA PSYCHIATRIC INSTITUTE-DEALING WITH CHILDHOOD TRAUMA

Adults who are experiencing mental problems....who have become addicts....who are being abused or abusing someone else...what they are doing NOW may be because of what happened to them when they were a child.

Karen Sandness, the Social Services Manager at PPI will join us to talk about childhood trauma and how it can affect people as they grow older.   PPI offers special trauma informed care and trauma services.   Helping people understand why they act the way they do in certain situations and why some turn to drugs, alcohol and violence.

 7:30-8              DO A 180 FOR BETHESDA MISSION

In 2012 Bethesda Mission launched "Do a 180 for Bethesda" to underwrite emergency improvements at their landmark Men's Shelter.

Praise God for $700,000 that has been raised toward eliminating the $2.6 million mortgage; this debt has threatened Bethesda’s capacity to provide their life changing services. 

Twice Bethesda was denied by the City to relocate the Shelter at less expense.  With no recourse, Bethesda restored its century old Shelter at a cost of $4.6 million; half the funds coming from the mortgage; no government funds were involved in this project.  Help this local Mission that has helped thousands struggling with addiction and abuse to turn their lives, by getting rid of this loan!

Over the past 5 years, the homelessness population has increased 40%; many of these folks end up at the doorsteps of Bethesda seeking hope and refuge.

7-7:30   INFERTILITY TREATMENT AT PINNACLE HEALTH

State-of-the-art infertility treatment services are now available in Central Pennsylvania through a partnership with PinnacleHealth and Reproductive Medicine Associates (RMA) of Philadelphia.  The new medical office –– known as RMA of Central Pennsylvania at PinnacleHealth –– is located at the Fredricksen Outpatient Center, 2025 Technology Parkway, in Mechanicsburg.

7-7:30  GOODWILL "SHRED DAY"

This Saturday April 13th....Goodwill Keystone Area will be holding another of their famous Shred Days.  This one will be in the Hampden Center Parking Lot from 8am to 1pm.

You can bring in your old paperwork, bills, receipts....even your sensitive documents and their professional staff will SHRED EM for just $5 per bag or box.  Goodwill is nationally certified to handle and shred confidential materials.
