I have lived in Central PA since the early 80's. I grew up outside of Uniontown, PA in the southwestern part of the state in a VERY small coal mining town. Worked on the farm, in the mines, drove truck and worked hard. Went to college at West Virginia University from 1975-79. Was offered my first radio job at WAJR/WVAQ in Morgantown, WV right out of school. In fact, I picked up my diploma Sunday afternoon at 2PM and started that day on the air at 4PM.
I moved to Harrisburg and Central PA in 1984 to get out of radio, but ended up being offered a job at WKBO and then Sunny 99. I was very fortunate in meeting Kathi Wise (Homecoming Queen-CD East 1978) when we worked together at 99.3 FM in the late 80's and we were married in October of 1992. Our first son Jordan was born in October of 1993. Our second son Matthew was born in September of 1997. We have lived in the Linglestown area at the base of the mountain since 97 and are blessed to have WONDERFUL neighbors and friends who we enjoy our spare time with.
We have quite a menagerie. A gorgeous black lab named Casey, a FAT cat named Ramsey and also Sabrina...a white cat we rescued from a shelter who we later found out cannot hear.
I love the area and am proud to call it home. But still a proud supporter of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins....and of course the WVU Mountaineers.
Along with my on air work Saturday mornings on WHP, I am the full time Creative Director for the 5 Clear Channel-Harrisburg radio stations. I write and produce many of the commercials you hear. I am also the voice on commercials you hear on other area radio stations and on local TV.
I also "produce" other radio programs including Let's Talk Travel With Sandy Fenton and The Old Barn Hockey Show and Legends Of Success with John Resnick which is broadcast nationwide.
I live by the motto of FAITH & STRENGTH. I am blessed to have a job and career that I love. I enjoy coming to work every single day. I love life and love to laugh. And I will always greet you with a smile.
