7-7:30  CARE FOR CHILDREN AT THE PENNSYLVANIA PSYCHIATRIC INSTITUTE

The decision to seek psychiatric help for a child or adolescent is not an easy one. Often, it’s hard for parents or loved ones to admit that their child may have a mental illness or psychiatric disorder. For families in this situation, specialized treatment with skilled and experienced clinicians is essential.

The Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute (PPI) offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents. All of these services are delivered in safe, nurturing environments. The goal of all therapies is for each child and adolescent to return successfully to his or her home, school and community.

Jason Kibler, the Director of Outpatients at PPI will tell us about this wonderful helpful program which recently relocated to a newly redesigned unit on Pinnacle Health's Polyclinic Campus.  It is the only child and adolescent partial hospital program of its type in the Harrisburg area.
