7-7:30 EXPLAINING MEDICARE WITH HIGHMARK BLUE SHIELD

Medicare can be confusing. I am confused and I am not even eligible yet. If you have parents who are asking for advice or if you are eligible for Medicare and need help choosing a plan, I hope this interview will provide you with some great information or point you in the right direction to find some answers.
We sat down with Tim Lightner from Highmark Blue Shield and asked him to explain the differences in plans for people who are Medicare eligible. This is important and timely because the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period for 2013 starts on October 15th and ends on December 7th. This is the time for people with Medicare to compare and make decisions on what plan is best for them.
Tim will go over some of these plans and also explain what Highmark offers. We also asked Tim about Healthcare Reform and what effect it will have on Medicare.
This is Part 1 of a two part show which will air this week and next Saturday, October 13th at 7 AM.
Highmark has made available a number of ways to help you during this enrollment period. They have a special website where you can see and compare the plans. They also have some local seminars coming up here in our area. And Highmark also has local insurance retail stores called Highmark Direct where you can meet face to face with an insurance expert.
