You know, there are dreams that come true, and then there are ACTUAL DREAMS THAT COME ACTUALLY TRUE. That second, capitalized one is what happened to Michael Pollock, a Billy Joel fan who attended a Q&A session with Joel at Vanderbilt University. Pollock asked if he could play "New York State Of Mind" with Billy onstage. He agreed, Pollock ran to the piano, and since this happened after the year 2005, it was all recorded on video!
People are praising Billy Joel (and deservedly so) for sharing the spotlight. But the real props go to Pollock, who ACTUALLY HAD THE NADS TO ASK IF HE COULD PLAY A SONG WITH BILLY JOEL ONSTAGE. Well done.
